Solidarity Trade Union Committee by the Committee of Radio and Television in Warsaw
This July in our Archives of the National Commission of NSZZ „Solidarność” cycle we would like to present the documentation of the Solidarity Trade Union Committee by the Committee of Radio and Television in Warsaw, and its action plan in particular. The collection contains also documents related to March the 31st, 1981 strike organized by the Strike Committee , as well as materials regarding fraudulent actions of Maciej Szczepański (Chairman of the Committee of Radio and Television in 1980-1981), radio and television posters from 1980-1989, and some issues of the “Solidarity of Radio and television” periodical from 1981-1989.
Slides shown below include the action plan of the Solidarity Trade Union Committee by the Committee of Radio and Television in Warsaw “Polish Radio and Television”, which was adopted during the General Meeting of Solidarity Trade Union Delegates on June the 11th, 1981. The document addresses issues such as: radio and television programme, cooperation with other organizations, work and pay conditions, employment policy, the Committee’s organizational structure, as well as health, welfare and accommodation conditions of the Committee’s employees. The said file contains as well the extended version of the programme, describing questions related to nutrition, leisure, social care, investments and finance. Also found in this archival unit are: resolutions of the Solidarity Trade Union Committee and of the Extraordinary General Meeting of Solidarity Trade Union Delegates and Local Leaders, and materials of the Programming Committee of Solidarity Trade Union of Radio and Television in Warsaw, as well as the communication on talks between the representatives of the Committee of Radio and Television and the National Coordinating Commission of Solidarity Trade Union.
