This September we continue to present selected scans from the Collection of materials, reports and leaflets related to activities of the opposition, strikes and repressions in Communist Poland (No. 76). It contains materials related to the Church, which from the very beginning accompanied the Solidarity Trade Union.
Among the scans attached below you can find:
- a ceremonial act of Lech Walesa’s devotion to the Mother of God at Jasna Góra on October 21, 1980,
- a prayer for the homeland published by the Conference of the Poland’s Episcopate in December 1980,
- lyrics of the song “Let Poland Be Poland” duplicated by the Solidarity Trade Union in Bydgoszcz,
- lyrics of the song “Mother, Protect Your Children”,
- a narrative titled “The Reds Want War with the Church”.
