We organize a historical and genealogical competition “In Search of Ancestors,” open for elementary school children in the Pomerania region.
Under guidance of their teachers children have to prepare either a chronological line or an album presenting history of their families or selected ancestors against the background of historical events that shaped their lives. Children may focus on local or regional history, but they can also select national or world events. The key to a successful presentation is presenting lives of ancestors in a historical context.
So far we have organized two editions of the competition (2018, 2019). The 2020 edition has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and will take place at the end of 2021.
